My 4 year old girl loves to ride her bike! After one week she is gliding down hills! I would recommend buying an adapter for your bicycle pump. The small tires make it difficult to use a regular bike pump.

First, let me praise the excellent customer service. The longshorman strike delayed the bike but Stacey was VERY helpful working out a solution.

As for the bike, it's perfect for my 2.5 yr old. Well built, and the air filled tires are a must. note- I removed the brakes. I just don't think youngsters are going to be able to understand handrakes yet.

Got this for my 4 year old, and my 18 month year old loves it, too! It is a super high quality bike, and the brakes are great for my older daughter, since her hands are big enough to use them. Love the air filled tires and the "real" feel this bike has. I'm so glad I researched balance bikes and decided on the Laufrad! We were thinking of getting the Strider, which is the ubiquitous balance bike, probably because of the voluminious positive reviews on amazon. The problem with all those reviews is they are reviewing the balance bike concept, and not the model bike itself. Love the concept, and well executed by Kinderbike!

I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr old daughter. She's now had it for a bit over two weeks. She was immediately able to walk while striding it. She's been a bit more hesitant doing more than that, but she's always been a cautious girl. I'm sure being patient and keep trying will do the trick for her. She's always eager to try it, that's for sure. And she loved the bell.
The bike is very well built, feels really solid. I would certainly recommend this bike to any parent.

Great bike for my 2.5 year old - sized perfectly and very light. Easy assembly and the bike feels sturdy so it should be able to take abuse from both of our kids

My son started using this bike right after he turned 2. It's been only a couple of weeks and he started gliding on it for longer periods of time yesterday. The transition from his tricycle was easy and smooth. He LOVES riding on his new Laufrad. The bike itself is very well-built and beautiful. Many of our neighbors have asked about the bike and some have ordered one for their child. We are extremely happy with our purchase and highly recommend it.
