We have a Strider that we are borrowing from a friend, but my 4.5 yr old is really too big for. We deliberated for a long time about which balance bike to get, given is age/height. He is 42.5 in tall and the METAL SKUUT is perfect size for him with some room to grow. The quality of this bike is so great - real wheels with knobby tires work great in the SNOW, quick-release seat adjustment, brake, sturdy frame, nice handlebars with bell, and comfortable fit overall. I thought our boy would be attached to the Strider, but he jumped on this and hasn't looked back. Compared to the Strider, the quality of this Skuut is a LOT nicer. We have already replaced a wheel on the Strider as the bearings wear out. The Striders are great for little kids given how lightweight they are.
